So i upgraded the antenna using ARGTek 10dbi upgrade. everything was all fine and started getting a little bit off poor reception so i thought maybe something came loose in the remote. So upon disconnecting and attemping to reconnect the wires for the antenna i managed to bust the small gold connector for what i believe is the 5.8Ghz wire. Can this issue be soldered to make the connection or do i need a new remote ?

Any help on the issue would be much appreciated .Thanks guys

You have seemingly dodged a bullet here- given the centre pin seems mechanically good why not reattached the connector taking a ground from elsewhere, you could solder a fly lead to the shielding box right next to it and if needed strip some insulation off the RF fly lead and connect the ground to the sheilding.

Ok well considering i have 0 experience with soldering and such ill get someone to do it . But im glad it seems i got lucky and its not ****** . Thanks alot for the help mate much appreciated
