Reliability is key

Looking to upgrade soon from FC40 to more recent model. My biggest concern is reliability.
I've read the posts about things going haywire during flights and resulting in damage or total destruction of expensive aircraft. I've read a bunch of reviews and have been more drawn toward the P3A than the P4.
That's why I'm posting here to get the advice of a group of experienced pilots.
Let me know your thoughts, I respect all opinions.

There definitely has been numerous reports of the home point getting changed to random locations. As far as I know, this has only been an issue for anyone flying with an android device, and it sounds like DJI has released an update for android to patch it.
I have a P3S with an iPad, no issues here but i can't speak for other models.
