For a few years now I have been flying Phantoms starting with the first P3. I now have a P4P+. I have also continually read the forum posts and have a few recommendations for newbies. 1) Abide by your area’s laws. 2) Be courteous and respectful to those around you. 3) Learn to fly figure-eights manually. 4) Be very careful that your battery has been secured in place. 5) Double tug on props before every flight. [Many of the disastrous issues that come up every week can be solved with these suggestions. NUMBER ONE GOAL: Have the recorded SD Card in your hand when you arrive home and a spotless bird. Hope this helps.

I will add few more:

Take off with fully charged batteries
Learn RTH before you fly
