Receiver trouble

I recently replaced the receiver in my Phantom 1 after the wire was severed. I unfortunately have a problem though, while I have done the binding to the transmitter several times, it will not stay connected to it more than a few minutes. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I could do or what could be wrong? Thank you

Is this a dual antenna that will it stay bound until powered down, then need rebinding on next power up?

If so, it maybe one of the faulty batch out there. How do I know......
