Receiver and Transmitter Advice

Hi,
Can anyone give me some advice about what receiver and transmitter to get for the Phantom?
I have a Phantom with the Zenmuse gimbal and a gopro 3 and I also have an external monitor. To get started I was thinking about a not to expensive receiver and transmitter kit to use with the monitor.
Any Tips would be great!

Just got a Futaba T8j & have the same setup as you. So far so good.

.think he was referring to FPV Tx/Rx (tho the Futaba is a great Tx for remote control).

as for FPV, .. the Fatshark Goggles are a popular choice,. plus they have video-out to plug into a monitor.

But if you're going to go with any stand alone Tx/Rx, I'd probably recommend the stuff from http://www.immersionrc.com
..same technology as the Fatshark I believe (sister brands?)

Are yes, note to oneself read the post correctly! I'm using the Immersion long range TX with a diversity dual monitor which seems to work well.
