Real reason for P3P $799 Price

Yes. That is even better since you have remote. But using pal pal on eBay gives minimum. 60 days to return. Guaranteed.

Yeah, I know its safe now-a-days. Just still don't trust it for some reason. Plus I'm lazy and would wind up not getting around to selling the remote.

5 days after I bought my P3P for $999 they dropped the price and released the 4, just my luck. That's what I get for being new to the drone world I guess.

If only 5 days. Send it back. You get at least 14 days.

eBay is a great bargain site. Yes - it's true the sellers may be flakey, but if you're willing to deal with that, you will either get your product at a bargain or get your money back provided you pay with paypal. In December I saw a Flytrex Live 3G device brand new in package for $90 Buy It Now. What??? Somethin' ain't right. Four people watching it. Hmm. I slept on it. Next morning I said WTF. Checked it. It was still there. Bought it. It arrived brand new in package as advertised. Installed it. Tested it. Worked perfectly and continues to operate flawlessly every flight.

Chester, an adopted scaredy cat; he must have been abused by someone, but he stays inside and seems content.

Wow, $799.00 for a P3P is a great buy!
That Phantom X would be very cool, indeed!
Nice REEF tank in the background there. Reefing is another hobby I love. Details of your tank?

This is an emerging and growing technology. There is too much potential in autonomous flight. For example, look at Amazon's drone-delivery system goals. And now with obstacle avoidance, it seems even more possible that something like a concept x product could be permitted.

Good post sir but in my opinion, Amazon are probably about as far away from introducing delivery drones into our skies as Nasa is in putting people on Mars. Unfortunately, the various regulatory bodies aren't interested in innovation, they are interested only in safety. For them the only safe drone at present is one sat in its box so until DJI or whoever can stop flyaways, people flying too high, too far and too fast, over roads, buildings and people, they will most likely continue to legislate negatively with regards their use.

Personally, I hope I'm wrong and you're right. Time will tell.

Awesome deal, I'm just a little weary of Ebay sellers. I wrecked my P3 last Saturday so I bought the Bird only from DJI for $709.

Unless you don't like selling the extra charger and controller, I would have gone that route. Did you get any perks for buying from DJI direct? Free shipping? The $799 price is with free shipping and then you subtract eBay Bucks and the charger and controller would be near free.

I was in a similar situation. I had just ordered the $999 deal with a free case and other goodies but I cancelled that order a day before it arrived so I could buy the much better deal on eBay.

The extra charger is bonus: it sure is nice being able to charge 2 batteries at once, or 1 battery and the RC.

Also: the extra battery.

Nice to see you over here now, too. ;-)

of you may have had a chance to see now how DJI likes to not leak details on "when-where-and what" going on in the DJI world. Most of us that has owned DJI products for some time have picked up on DJI's habits which gives us some idea that things are being prepared to soon take place. We generally don't know exactly what it is, but most of the time at least know some thing is in the works.

I have found it to be unusual that the price of the P3P has recently has dropped to as much as $799 in such a short time.

They want the stock of the P3's off the shelf for a reason. Anyone with half a business mind knows you don't release a new product and then up-sale it by dropping to a blow out price on one of your other products. DJI has auctioned P3 "Lots" to so-called dealers at a fire sale price who are obviously making money with them other wise they wouldn't get involved. And again, this is for a reason.

I feel like it is finally for the kickass Concept-X we were given a sneak peak on back this past November. It was said the only thing holding it up was the addition of Collision Avoidance, which as we all know was just made available on the P4.

This my peeps will be one badass mofo!

Didn't like the P4 i take it?

we saw the same fire sale on P2V+ when the P3 was released.
P4 isnt even offically out yet ;) phantom x will likely be the P5.

From the eBay pictures, and the listed included prop wrench, it must be the old motor bird with the original board, model W323, which has the best video power output of any P3P iteration on the aircraft, and the strongest transmitter signal. Might just get one more! :D
