RE700 range extender

HI ALL
Just ordered a RE700 and wanted to know if this is easy to set up ? And was thinking if this is connected to my p2v during an update would it affect it in anyway ?

I just ordered mine today too. For what I have read is an easy operation. It just only required to push a little button in the extender for pairing to the transmitter. And I would prefer to do any update before or after pairing it.

Sorry, for your second inquiry, I think updates don't affect the extender.

I am using it and got extended-range of 3000 foot comes highly recommended.
