I am a greenhorn to the phantom 3 standard world. That being said, how can I get this machine to fly?

This is all in the manual. Here's the basics.
1. Fully charge everything (RC (Remote Controller), batteries, phone or tablet.
2. Download the DJI Go app to your phone or tablet (Google Play Store if you're using an Android device or the App Store if you're using an IOS device (Iphone, Ipad, etc. )).
3. Turn on the RC.
4. Turn on the AC (aircraft).
5. Make sure your phone or tablet is connected to WIFI (Phantom xxxx).
6. Open the DJI Go app. Wait a few seconds, then click on "Camera".
When the video screen appears and you can see what the camera sees, make sure your S1 switch is in P mode (uppermost position), wait until it says "Safe To Fly", then you're ready. As far as actual flying controls, etc., you'll have to read the manual. Once you're comfortable, you can turn off "beginner mode" in the settings. Don't crash it! If you crash it, you get to keep all the pieces AND Momma's gonna give you a whupping! Above all, READ THE MANUAL at least 3 times, cover to cover. There'll be a test later.
