If anyone has the amazingly simple but solid RAVE Aerial DJI tx mount and are wondering how to mount an ordinary tablet or smartphone to it, then you can do what I have done and use the clamp from a "Keizus Quadropod" (see link below). The clamp is great, it screws off the quadropod and has a standard tripod mount underneath which will attach to your Rave tx mount into a nice solid position. If you are wondering about using a clamp on your device, then dont worry as it will not overtighten, it merely snaps off the tightness once it has reached the right grip for your device, and it has nice foam pads on the grips so it wont damage your device.

The only thing about using the Rave mount is you have to move the range extender along the carrier a little to accommodate the Rave mount which lines up with the antenna, but its a simple mod to move it along 2cm. I think Pullup has done a recent review of the Rave mount so you might want to check that out.

Links for both are here if interested :

Enjoy peeps !

Right then an update - have tried my nexus 7 in the Keizus clamp and it was too loose for my liking, the safety just clicks off too much leaving it less tight than I would have liked so I guess the Rave mount is really only going to work with monitors that have the tripod fitting at the bottom.

Oh well it was worth a try because I like the Rave mount but im not buying a 7" monitor just to fit a clamp when my satechi clamp works fine.

Sorry guys !....beta test over lol.

:D

Yeah its OK I also have diffeent type of satechi mount also, I just loved the simplicity of the Rave mount !!

back to my Satechi now

:D
