Hey first off I want to introduce myself to the forum. I have been flying a toy drone for a while now and recently just purchased a Phantom 2 Vision+ and have about 3 hours flight time on it. I really enjoy it and find myself becoming more addicted. Also, I am looking for people in the Florida area to meet with and fly so let me know if anyone wants to hang out and fly. I am in Orlando Fl. So on with my concerns. I am always terrified to fly the drone past 700 ft because that's really when it starts to become small and hard to see. I can then look at my phone for bearings. Truly, what is the distance of these phantoms before I lose connection with it? I also set my compass every time i fly just in case but I do want it to get to that point. Let me know what you all think about the range of this machine.
