Question p2 v1 transmitter upgrade to new ndj6 controller

I just purchased the v2 ndj6 controller with the gimball controller on the top left corner instead of being behind the controller and the rechargeable battery via micro usb. My question is after I bind the controller to the phantom I should load up the rc assistant and calibrate the sricks and click upgraded controller. Is that all? Anyone else running this transmitter on a v1 p2?

Make sure in PT2 you set it to the "upgraded" controller.

Thanks for prompt reply, anyone done this with success? It seems by google searching this topics im getting alot of negatives... ie frmware issues for controller after plugging into rc assistant... ?

I've switched between the old and new remote several times without problems. And I've never heard of anyone else having a problem either.
