Question about Reception

I'm going to fly over a condo complex that is roughly 100 meters high. If I lose LOS on my phantom 2, do you think I will still have control of it with a stock controller?

I have read and talked to someone who lost his Phantom that way. He said that onced it went on the other side he never saw it again.

I can only speculate that once it lost connection, it triggered Return to Home, and being it was not higher than the building, it slammed into it coming back.

He says no.
