Prop guard kind of something new, the PRONG

I am interested in opinions about a prop protection device to keep props out of the dirt on a tip over on the ground.

It is a 3D printed ABS part that snaps over the motor nacelle and keys into the counter bores on the bottom of the shell. It snaps on, no bolts, uses the counter bores to keep it aligned. It has a carbon fiber tube as the actual prong to prevent prop contact.

The current weight is 10 grams per, so 40 per set.

Why not fix the actual problem -- prevent the Phantom from tipping. Perhaps you could attach those extensions to the landing gear instead.
 
That may be a better solution, widen out the gear. I'll look at a snap on bracket for tubing to make it wider but stay out of the camera range.
