PROBLEMS WITH FINAL CUT PRO 7

My phantom 3 standard footage looks fine on my desktop as an H264 file - shot at 2K at 25p
but converted to Pro Res for editing in Final Cut Pro 7 it looks terrible. I may be to do with the fact that all the other footage in my edit has none in the field dominance but the DJI footage is upper field which is causing the problem. I have tried various converters and can't change from upper field to none.
Can anyone throw some light on this ?

FCP 7 was never very capable beyond 1080p from my experience. Try down converting but probably time to upgrade your editing suite

Hi Thanks for your response - the footage is 2K though not 4K - I agree FCP 7 is not suited really to 4K

2k is still beyond 1080p by large data points.
