Problems fixing my walkera g2d to phantom 2

Ok , I am having huge troubles connecting my new gimbal to my phantom 2. I bought the phantom 2 without camera or gimbal so just the flying drone nothing else.on the base of my phantom are 4 holes/screws. However on my walkera it comes with a cross shaped mount that does not align with any of these holes .

Do I need a separate mount between the drone and the gimbal ?

You should be able to use the Phantom Vision damping bracket - see here

One piece (the curved piece) will screw onto the Phantom - the other will need hacking about (to remove the servo holder box) so you can screw it to the gimbal mounting plate. You'll also need anti-jello pads to fit between the phantom plate and the gimbal plate - see here

That first bit looks like what I need, as I already have dampeners on the gimbal itself. Here is the side view of it

I don't think you can buy just the top bit, but the package is not very expensive.

I bought the whole gimbal , the walkera g2d gimbal. A better question , is this compatable with the phantom 2?
