Hi there,

I just watched (at least) two dozen of video tuts on how to attach a Fatshark video transmitter to the Phantom 2 - and all of them are grabbing the power from that pre-installed 4-wire cable.

However, according to the P2 manual, this cable does only provide 5V (with max 2A), whereas a Fatshark sender requires a minimum of 6V or even 7V o_O

That raises two questions:

1. Would it be ok (and safe) to grab the power for the Fatshark TX directly from the main battery / mainboard (full 11.1V / 3S)?

2. Why does the 5V option seem to work for all those people?? Do the Fatshark senders really work well with 5V - and why does Fatshark claim that a minimum current of 6V (sometimes even 7V) is neccessary?

That drives me nuts...
