Potential upgrade to Phantom 2 from Phantom v1.1.1

Hi guys!

A few quick questions on what I am trying to achieve. I have my phantom v1.1.1 with the following upgrades:

• ZenMuse H3-2d Gimbal
  GoPro Hero3+ Black
  DJI Phantom upgrade board
  Mini iOSD
  Immersion 600mw FPV
  Phantom 2 blades
  7" ReadyMade RC monitor

And I am still wanting longer flight times, so I am considering moving to the Phantom 2. The big question(s) I have are if I move to the Phantom 2, can I reuse most of my upgraded equipment from the Phantom? Would it make sense to just buy the Phantom with the H3-3D gimbal included?

The phantom 2 had much longer flight times which I am really attracted towards. Is the Phantom 2 easier to upgrade parts on? For example, to get the Mini iOSD to work in my phantom, I had to modify the upgrade board a bit to keep the weight down.

You can start using the props from the P2 now, which will help your flight times a bit. If you want to start using the larger P2 batteries as well, one way to achieve that is to move your P1 innards to a P2 shell: viewtopic.php?f=29&t=7017

Hi OI!

Thank your for your feedback. I was considering going the shell swap out, but realistically, there are some areas that I do not like. From what I have read, you really don't get a full maximum flight time because the software is not fully utilizing the Phantom2 code?

Basically, I am looking to see what items can be re-used from my phantom and look at the price comparisons.
