I received a promotional email this morning for Indiegogo that included a portable recharging block. The thing that makes this one unique is that it has a 120v outlet in addition to the usual USB port. hought it would be a great way to recharge my P2 batteries in the field without buying DJI's car charger, plus I can run my laptop off it, too. They even have a phantom in their promo video!

Check it out:

This is really cool, I just backed it. Will come in very handy! Just a few days left in case anyone is interested.

It's perhaps worth noting that converting from a DC battery to 120v AC using an inverter, only to immediately convert it back again to DC to charge your laptop or Phantom battery is incredibly inefficient. It would be much, much more efficient to charge directly from the DC supply.

Hi Harry,

While it may be inefficient, for me the benefit is convenience. I can power or charge almost anything I'm likely to be traveling with using this single off the shelf device. Having the ability to plug in a 110v device to such a small device is worth it for me. I already have a tronix explorer mini (http://www.innovatronix.com/index.php/p ... x-explorer) but I'm thrilled with the small size of this new one.
