I just purchased a slightly used phantom 4 my 13-year-old son.

Our first flight was perfectly good video.
I then stored the drone so he could not touch it until our next flight.

The 2nd flight the film and still shots were very grtainy and poo quality .

We didn't touch anything.

I tried tweeting the video settings to no avail..

Anybody have any suggestions for my depressed son and very depressed father.

Are you looking at the videos from the SD Card or from the iPad/android device? The video from the device, not SD card, are low quality.

Thank you for your reply. I took GST SD Card and uploaded the video to my computer. That's where I notice low quality.

It could be the time of day that you're shooting the videos. If it's dark, like close to dusk, the camera will kick up the ISO to the max so you'll get a lot of graininess. You might also want to post some samples of what you're seeing.

One thing I have learnt because I've experienced the same thing and panicked about my camera. Are light is most definitely your friend. More light makes better image quality period. Now obviously the camera has to be properly set up to handle the light for that particular moment in time. But play with shutter speed and ISO etc. Here's an example.

Two days apart but notice the difference in crisp sharp quality.
