BestBuy has the PolarPro SlipOn starter set (CPL,ND4,ND8) on sale for $37. I almost picked them up yesterday but questioned if i should get the Thread on because of the weight? The cost for the Thread on is almost 2x at $69

Opinions ?

The slide-on filters aren't heavy enough to damage the gimbal. You'll be much happier with the build quality of the threaded filters. I own both and would purchase the threaded filters if I could only have one of them.

I couldn't agree more. The threaded ones are nice quality for sure.

Threaded also fit better with your lens covers/protectors if you decide to keep the filter on the bird for a time.

I have the slip on and I'm not a fan. Go for the threaded. If you want I'll sell you my slip ones for $20 only used once [emoji6]
