    I had to switch shells because I stupidly used Loctite on my old P2. When doing so, I found myself with this part without knowing it's origin!

    Looks like the plastic 'lens' that goes over the light that shows when your receiver inside the Phantom is linked to the transmitter...

    Does it go on the board or on the shell?

    I think it goes on the board (covers the LED light) and pokes thru the hole on the bottom of the shell...

    I got it, thank you. It goes in a hole in the shell under the stick rx. It doesn't stay on its own but is essentially trapped there when the rx is screwed down.

    Is that a light that's supposed to be visible from the outside of the P2?

    Apparently, yes. I can't check mine now because I put in a different rx.

    You can see it illuminated in green looking at the underside of the P2 when you are bound to the transmitter
