Playing videos on iPad mini2

cant play videos in iPad after importing them to my iPad. When I try to play them after imported it tells me that it's the wrong format. Am I doing something wrong or do I can only watch them on my PC?

Make sure you are recording in MOV format.

I switch to 1080 p and now I can watch them

The iPad Mini 2 doesn't do as well with 4K video too.
