Why dont they call it a near-hit? That would make more sense. Near-miss sounds like it almost missed, but didn't.

Think in terms of speeds and seconds. I you do some well guessed math the drone missed the airplane by around 1 second. I call that a near miss.

FYI
Here in Israel there are hundreds of restricted areas and no fly zones. Some are so sensitive that if you launch a drone youll have the police on you within minutes. Maximum fly height is 50 meters unless you have a licence and insurance. Getting them is easy. You join the Israel RC plane club (costs about 150$ a year) and that gives you a licence, insurance and you can fly up to 250 meters
