Good for him. He probably just wanted it over. Someone else will pick up the mantle. The document is good summary of the case and highlights the significant flaws in the FAA's case.

Yes, thanks for sharing. Very interesting article about the case. $1100 is certainly better than 10G. A good settlement for Pirker to avoid further legal cost without admitting to any wrongdoing.
