    Lol... I got mobbed by Crows once... Fortunately it ended well for he Phantom and the birds!

    I deal with curious crows a lot. This is the main reason I use the guards. They may save you and the bird if a bird bumps it. They get **** close. Without them your chances of a crash are much higher I would imagine. Just like open wheeled race cars. If your hit you probably will crash but with fenders you rub paint and finish the race. All they have to do is damage a prop and its going down. Check out videos on youtube of birds attacking RC planes. Actually grabbing and biting the planes.

    I've had a curious Red Kite come and look the Vision over more than once before. They aren't scared, more curious. I've managed to catch them on video a couple of times, although following in flight is tricky. I will have to watch out a bit more come the breeding season, I think - the males will start to get territorial. They are very commonplace in my neck of the woods so I'll have to keep my eyes open as an adult weights about the same as the Vision, but they have bigger talons... :shock:
