Went out to the park today for a flight and the P2V would not start. ????? It did not matter what routine of pushing the button on the battery, it would not "fire up." I thought maybe bad contact so I pulled the battery out and stuck it back in. Tried five more times and it finally started.
Anybody run into this "odd" event?

Check your COMM, and battery posts, they may need to be cleaned?
I usually press once, release, then press and hold until the battery turns on!

Is the battery coming on , but you cannot start motors?
Or is the battery not turning on?

Please let us know, hope this helps

I really would not think of contacts being dirty since it is only a week old. No, they are as clean as when I unboxed the P2V.
Small town airport is 3 miles from my house. Park is 7 miles.
Problem is getting phantom to come to life. Once done and green shows motors start without any problem.
........and UP IT GOES!
Maybe some sensor is a little flakey in mine.....?

Does the battery power up normally when disconnected from the Phantom?
Hummm, You learn something new every day. I did not know it would do that. Yes, it powers up when not in Phantom. It also decided to work later today when I tested it to see if it was going to act right. It has worked OK now on several trial start ups.
Guess it was just having a fit. ????

I suspect you turned on the tx without the sticks being centered, this would cause the phantom not to start

They are spring loaded and stay in the center. Interesting thought though.
