Phantoms returned to seller--where do they end up?

I can't imagine that they are returned to DJI and refurbished since they can't keep up with new demand. Any ideas?

They are definitely returned to DJI.
However, I couldn't tell you what DJI does with them.

They probably part them out and junk what doesn't work anymore.

DJI some how resells them as is. To people that then resell them and were many of the sold as is ones on ebay come from. They even have yellow QR ode stickers slapped over some of the old ones on the boxes that say tested. But even compleatly wreaked ones have the tested sticker on them. So it must mean its been tested and found to be junked.
