Phantom v2+ connection problems

Hi all, my phantom has been in its transit box for a while and I am trying to update it but the soft cant find the RC or Aircraft. Running version 3.8 but when I plug it in it doesn't do anything.

Did you install the software & drivers? Not sure what sort of computer you have. If it's a PC are you running the same version of Windows as you were before? If you are running Windows 10, it has issues with a some older USB devices. If using Win10, try getting one of those cheap USB hubs & connecting the Phantom through the hub.

I am using win10,I have a laptop with win8 would this be better? what are the latest drivers/installers.

Be sure to get the Windows driver and install it first before loading the assistant software. It's on DJI download area.
