Phantom TX tag

I've watched a dozen or more reviews of the Phantom Vision Plus 2 and it seems like everyone has a tag hanging from the transmitter. I haven't seen one of these in person. What gives? Why doesn't anyone remove the tag?

The tag is the LED light sequences of the Phantom and is used as reference. I have mine stuck on the back of the battery lid.

Ah! OK, well at least that explains why people have left them attached.

I thought it was like my parents who refuse to remove the protective plastic from their purchases cause they claim that it's supposed to be left on there. Ah!
