    First there were owners that have failed to read the manual and do research. Now somebody that is not vested at all can rent and fly!

    I see this as more bad news for responsible owners and fliers...

    This might be one of those times where FAA involvement would be good under the "commercial" regulations.

    Apparently, some university libraries are renting out Phantoms to hungover college kids --- what a great idea! :lol:

    I think rental is an iffy idea for reasons stated, but having had TWO DJIs fly away, I am tempted to rent rather than buy again. If the thing flies away, is the renter on the hook?
