Phantom receiver on standard NAZA 450/550?

Has anyone tried this combo? I know, it sounds stupid to downgrade a Turnigy 9x to a common DJI controller, but I happen to like it. I fly the other quads I have with the other TX, but I have a new quad 550 carbon frame I'd like to use my NAZA on.
