    I think he said it took over 20 minutes for it to get to altitude to burst the balloon. I don't know if the phantom battery would last that long, let alone the RTH feature.

    He would without the motors running. I think the Phantom could last over 1 hour :D

    I mean do so that you can turn on the battery remotely somehow but the other problem is the cold its -55 °C or something up there.
