Quick question. My phantom gimbal always moves to a angled downward position. I can use th dial on the remote to adjust/tilt the gimbal but i need to hold the wheel to keep it tilted. As soon as i let go of the dial it goes back to the default camera angle. Wondering if this is normal? I would have thought i ciuld set the angle with the dial and it would stay at that angle, like my phantom 4.

so your saying your got a limp gimbal wow give it some viagra

There are three reasons for this:

1) If you're using H3-2D gimbal the NDJ6 controller is not compatible only compatible with the H3-3D/H4-3D gimbals.

2) You may not have the latest firmware for the gimbal which is v1.0.0.12 so confirm this in the upgrades page of the P2's software.

3) You have to calibrate the sticks and X1 in the RC assistant then do the same in the P2's assistant with the controller turned on.

I think you are on BASIC mode (old controller without the tilt dial).
To fix: Phantom Assist > RC > nominate UPGRADE mode if you have the tilt dial on the left shoulder of the controller. Recalibrate the sticks and move the Tilt dial.

I know you're using the new RC controller but which gimbal are you using? If your using H3-2d the NDJ6 is simply not compatible. If you are using an aftermarket gimbal it's any body guess whether it will work correctly.
