Well I kinda bought my phantom 3 wifi a few weeks ago after seeing these videos- phantom 3 wieght - YouTube
showing the amount of weight it can lift.... Why? You say because I would like to mod the quad for different purposes like putting another camera board.
To do this this I need about 1200 Grams which seemed from some of the videos the safe amount it could possibly fly with.
So I finally got around to test mine, using a bag full of coinage (1500g) and it just couldn't lift. So now I;m wondering are all Phantoms not built the same? Can't figure it. I'm thinking to lower the amount but part of me going this route with phantom instead of a custom quad was seeing that it could just about take 2000grams in this video -
so if it could do that it could probably handle 1200grams easy...
