phantom 4 legs

G'day fellas (I am new to this forum so any help an tips is appreciated).
I recentally crashed my P4 drone(well to be exact I was in sport mode at 120m (400 ft) and wanted to time how fast the drone comes down, so pulled the throttle right back (normal) and the drone started coming down far to fast, (not normal) so I ramped the throttle back up and it still kept coming down till it crashed) now its legs are buckled and the dji GO app is telling me that the compass is not working. I am wondering if the compass is in the legs, and if so how do I replace them. And why did it crash in the first place?
P.S.
The drone does not seem to have any other damage apart from the camera creaking a little bit.

Yes, the compass is in the landing gear. If you need new landing gear, you can purchase a replacement set here on Amazon or here on eBay.
