Phantom 4 Battery issue

I have been talking to DJI about a battery issue. The drone works great, I have dozens of flights, no issues, no crashes, however, I noticed on both of my intelligent batteries have a bulge in the same place (see photos). The issue is:

• I have not gotten a straight answer in 7 days
• I have a RMA return authorization,
• DJI says if battery is damaged it wont be returned

My concerns:

Is there a problem with the battery? Are there known issues with this battery?

Mine are starting to do the same, there is a spring inside the plastic that pushes on that spot. Ever time you squeeze the buttons to pull the batt out it puts more pressure on those spots and will eventually crack through. It's a problem in the plastic not the battery. Not sure what will happen and mine are not that bad. It's only in the first gen batts for the p4. The newer ones do not have the problaem
