Standard Phantom 3 standard startup problems

    Just took the unit out of the box, stated a new firmware update is available, I downloaded it and was able to connect to the device. The app is working, can see and control the camera but every time I try to calibrate it, it doesn't seem to take. Says bad signal. I took it out in the middle of a field but same problem. I have good cell service. Any advice?

    I assume the update was completed successfully. If so, you just need to relink the RC to the drone.

    Go to the RC menu in DJI Go app. At the bottom there is an option to relink. Then on the left side of the drone, there is a little hole with a red light. Use a paper clip to press it. Turn off the drone, RC, and close the app. Then turn on RC, launch the app (make sure it's connected to RC's wifi), and turn on the drone.
