Phantom 3 standard 4.18 Miles! Update! Now 6.08 miles

I use my phantom to check on our cows too! It's so convenient.

Antenna was from DBS mods
Amps from fpvlr.com
Batteries from FPVcustoms
I modded a FPVcustoms antenna mount to use the DBS flat panel
These picture only show one 2.4 amp but I am running two 2.4 amps one 5.8 amp
And two battery packs
This setup works!
I believe even though I'm running external batteries that the batteries are going to be my limiting factor. I still had full signal strength at 4 miles

Hey man your setup is very similar to mine, you use two of the blue battery packs though? One for each booster? I just have one.

My set up is pieced together from FPVcustoms, fpvlr.com and DBS
I'm using the DBS antenna on a FPVcustoms mount with a 5.8 amp and two 2.4 amps
I also have two batteries on the RC one powers two 2.4 amps and one powers the 5.8 amp
On the bird I have the FPVcustoms batteries with two 1600 batteries
There are pics of the RC posted above

So if you were me, you'd get another blue battery, instead of using one to power both the 2.4 and 5.8?

It's out of stock here, do you know where I can get anolther? 12V DUAL LEAD BATTERY 3000MAH WITH CHARGER FREE 2-3 DAY SHIPPING

I have the FPVcustoms batteries on my drone as well!

I don't think so
I figure I was this far into it why not try it
I did get 15000' with just the DBS antenna and no amps but I lost all signal and it went into RTH mode
I can say that with the amps I still have full signal at 22000
I am flying in a remote location with no wifi interference

Oh wow that's insane, full signal at 22000?? Wonder if your DBS and my FPVLR antenna would have a huge difference in distances.

We can't get a larger capacity 12V then? Also, can the battery inside the controller itself be swapped?

There is another member that has both and trying them at the same place and comparing but not amped .
Just the antennas .

That's amazing I'm glad to know these distances are possible. I hope the parrot disco fixed wing drone can achieve these type of distances as FPV with this combined on a fix wing would probably be the best.

Went out this morning to try and top yesterday's run
And I crushed it!
Over 32,000 feet!
6.08 miles and returned with 20% battery

Yeah I think about 10-11 miles seems to be max for a round trip given battery technology. Would be nice to have a long straight road where you could just go all out for max range & have a friend following along in a car to recover the aircraft. Nice setup & great range.
This last run was 12.19 miles round trip
I think I'm just about maxed out!

I bow down to you. That is CRAZY long. LOL! Hope you have a tracker on that puppy!

Would you say about $600 in mods to your Standard? $300 antenna and & $300 battery?
