I have updated my Phantom to "Phantom 3 Professional Firmware v1.6.0040".
Everything is done by the book. But still. The screen "overall status" say "update required".

How do i find out what firmware the RC is?

In the about tab in the DJI GO app

In the about tab in the DJI GO app

Just to be sure...
RC=Remote Control?

In the "About" tab i only find App and Aircraft versjon. (App: 2.6.0. and Aircraft: 1.6.40)

Remote Controller:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
==========2016.02.07 22:01:18==========
Packet: /mnt/usb/P3X_FW_V01.06.0040.bin,
Result: Abort
The firmware on the SD card is identical to or older than the current firmware on the remote controller.

Aircraft:

Battery updated?
RC is remote controller. is it connect to phone via USB?

I would delete and reinstall DJI GO, but hopefully someone who has run into this b4 will jump in.

That did the trick.
But that was the first i did after updating the RC, Aircraft and batteries..

But hey. It works :-D Thanks ;-)

Cool

i tried to update my firmware also
aircraft did upgrade to 1.6 but remote control didn't
it simply didn't start it or was there any new log entry
so now my aircraft is at 1.6 and my remote control is at 1.57
what to do???

Nothing, that Is up to date on both

I've see that as well. I just ignore it and it goes away after a little while. The Phantom will fly just fine. There is no harm in ignoring it.

Its connected too my Google Nexus 9 tab via usb.
Both batteries has been updated.

With iOS you can update the RC through the app. You need to download the 1.05 FW, on a SD card and put the SD card into a reader and plug into your RC USB plug. Turn on by itself and it will update. Your RC must be pre-1.05 FW.

I tried to update mine to 1.6 and it was a no go

Get the SD CARD, download 1.05 and put it into the USB on your RC. Turn it on only and let it update

Just what i have done. First with a SD card and a adapter, then with a USB stick. '

Nothing happens. The LED is green all the time.

Do you have the bird on? That light should never be green unless the bird is on
