I don't know if anyone has ever thought or tried this, but I added a curved sticky GoPro mount to the top of my Phantom 3 Pro along with a POV Extender arm and my GoPro Hero 3+ yesterday. Today was my test flying so below are pictures and YouTube video link.

Cool perspective ...but, I don't recommend putting anything over the gps receiver antenna. Also, the imbalance of the added gopro is really making the rear motors work hard.

Yeah I don't plan to fly in this configuration too much.
 
I applaud your innovation. I was thinking of a camera to look straight up to photograph under bridges etc.
 
nice idea, i bet you could make some cool videos with this, maybe point it backwards, or something? Love innovation!
 
I have a question. Why the long arm? Why not just a shorter adjustable gopro mount. COG would have been better and not falling over.
