I don't know if anyone has ever thought or tried this, but I added a curved sticky GoPro mount to the top of my Phantom 3 Pro along with a POV Extender arm and my GoPro Hero 3+ yesterday. Today was my test flying so below are pictures and YouTube video link.

Cool perspective ...but, I don't recommend putting anything over the gps receiver antenna. Also, the imbalance of the added gopro is really making the rear motors work hard.

Yeah I don't plan to fly in this configuration too much.

Get good at atti flying in case you lose sats. Even if you remove camera and arm, you still have the mount over the antenna. Good luck.

Is that just sticky tape holding that on there? I'd secure it to the p3 more secure before it happens

It's a GoPro curved mount with it's 3M tape pad.

I applaud your innovation. I was thinking of a camera to look straight up to photograph under bridges etc.

I have a question. Why the long arm? Why not just a shorter adjustable gopro mount. COG would have been better and not falling over.

My guess is to clear the rear props and still have the camera at a level higher than the props.

If a gopro was mounted on the applied mount...it would do both.
