I'm sure my wording will be choppy. But with all the enterprise ing responders someone should try to do this. Wouldn't it be neat to have a laminated pre flight check list.
Along with
Better yet. Steps in first flight
Take off
Flight
Tips to practice
Return home
Etc etc

So much for ever new first timer to try an recall, Or try to find on a note pad.
But with a little imagination a well organized color coded laminated "How to"

Who s ready to get on Shark Tank,

Wonder who will be the first to type out, read the manual.

There are already some posted that you could laminate.

Your correct Bob. It certainly is out there,
For many like myself who have never flown an RC.
Throw in the fact there are no handy neighbors to walk you through your first attempts. After spending several $ on the unit & accessories.

I would think the thousands of first timers would go another 10$ for some piece of mind..... Just a thought,

I would put 'read the manual' as the second step.
Step 1 would be - purchase a small inexpensive quad such as a Syma x5c and learn to fly first, to minimize the 'idiot' part.

My thoughts exactly, especially the part about learning to fly

...just my $.02 worth.

the market for these manuals are probably experienced flyers. Most of the new folks asking the questions don't or wont read a manual. Quick Start-- maybe, but the manual???? The information is there if they will read:)
