I guess you're referring to the P3S? If so, it's definitely a good drone for a beginner (as are any of the other P3 models). The biggest downfall of the P3S is that it has a shorter range and the range will be even shorter than that if you fly in areas with a lot of interference (e.g. near a neighborhood that has a lot of Wi-Fi). I have one and haven't experienced any range issues, but it's just something you should be aware of.
FYI, DJI is also currently selling the P3S for $399. You can get one from them here on Amazon or directly from DJI here. They also have refurbished P3Ss here for $359.
Thanks man.
I just need one for my LA to SF road trip, and seems I could not find any rental companies.
So, I better order one on amazon prime and let it ship to my LA address.
