Phantom 2 Vision Plus upgrade Gimbal?

I have a Phantom 2 Vision plus with camera that is not working the way it should .I about to take a trip to Costa Rica and would love to have my GoPro mounted with a H3 3D Gimbal and still be able to view and take photos and videos, I ordered what I thought would fix this but it really did not fit or connect to the cables..
