Phantom 2 (non-vision) with a P2V camera

Has anybody tried combining the best of all worlds?
+A phantom 2 with a 1000m range and a remote control that can control a gimbal
+A Phantom 2 VISION camera with the telemetry and phone app (http://www.heli-world.com/detail.aspx?ID=11500)
+A 2 axis gimbal

The P2 + the P2V camera cost almost as much as the complete P2V set but you get 3 times more range and the P2 is ready for a decent gimbal.

What do you think of the idea?
As anybody tried this setup?

Nope, not possible. The Tx for the P2 uses 2.4Ghz , So you can't use the Vision camera because they are on the same frequency. (also 2.4) You'll get interference.

But....t's not that hard to achieve a range between 900-1500 meters with a p2vision.

Just use a TP-Link antenna and that s it.

I wonder thought how http://droneexpert.nl/ makes its "drone packet 6" work with the Phantom 2 vision camera and the 7th channel remote (I assume is the P2 Remote)...
