phantom 2 non vision question

hello i just picked up the phantom 2 non vision. just phantom 2 buying the gimbal for it for my go pro. my question is i want to use the iphone app so i need to get the DJI Ground Station 2.4 Bluetooth Downlink Phantom 2 S1000 LK24-BT Groundsation. will thiss hook right up to my phantom 2 without cutting into it? is this what i need to use my ipad or iphone with to set way points? and will it stream the live video to my phone or pad while flying like the vision does? im noob so just need to get the right stuff.

I don't understand! This seems to be a 2.4Ghz video downlink. But, the Phantom 2, V2 uses 2.4Ghz for the Comtrol link. So, unless this is something that is brand new and somehow compatible, all non-visions use 5.8Ghz for the video downlink.

Am I misinformed?
