Phantom 2 Fatshark OSD?

So I bought the P2, AVL58, H3-3D, and Predator 2. Completed a couple test flights and of course the learning curve is steep!

The questions:
1. I have not yet installed the AVL58. Before I do, how do I get the OSD on the goggles? I need more hardware right? iOSD mini? Amazing that the place I bought this from cannot tell me, along with hours of internet searches it still is not clear to me.
2. If I install the goggle to try out the FPV, can I add the OSD later without much headache? Seems like I would have to re-wire and make room for it.

I am sure I will have more questions, but this will get me going for now.

1. Yes, you need the iOSD mini to get an OSD.

2. You can fly without the iOSD but as you say, you will need to re-wire the video end to add it later.
