I have a phantom 2 (non vision) and will shortly be purchasing an FPV setup with appropriate antennas. This led me to think about the stock antenna on the remote control and phantom. Are there any recommended antenna upgrades for the remote control signal ?

    thanks,
    :)

Are you currently experiencing any range issues with the stock setup? How far are you trying to fly?

Yes, there are upgrades. But I, and most others, find the stock setup to be more than adequate. Check FPVLR.com for antenna upgrades if you insist.

New proposed FAA rules and current CAA rules in the UK prohibit flying out of visual range, so the 1KM that the P2 can manage on the stock system should be enough. The 5.8GHz system on the Vision series does benefit from an upgrade, but I really wouldn't bother on the P2.

    Just my personal opinion :)

The 2.4 ghz will take you beyond the battery range, so no.

So are the Phantoms.. if you fly them that far, it'll be a one way trip!
