I'm big on Pelican Cases. I can buy the right size case, but getting a precise cut out like the "Go Professional" Hard case I see for sale on Amazon is not easy. Anyone cut the foam inserts for pelican before and have any tips? Nothing against other cases, I just really dig pelican.

I have the Pelican 1610 and it fits it perfectly. I haven't had it done yet (waiting to see what other accessories I need), but I usually use mycasebuilder.com to do custom cut foam for all my cases. For now I am using the foam from a cheap $60 backpack inside the Pelican with dividers. The dividers hold the foam in place and there is a little spare room for extras above the foam.
This thread got lost in the rest and I missed this. Just saw this on Amazon. I was looking on Amazon two weeks ago, now this pops up.I ended up buying the GPC case, which is really nice... but it's not a Pelican.... Jeeze. Wish I had looked back at this thread, but thought no one answered. Sorry guys.

Did u paint it?here is my pelican 1560 case with pick and pull foam.. no cutting required... places for batteries, quad, monitor, remote, props, cords/parts and room to grow...
does pelican make solid foam that requires cutting?
Most Pelican cases come in a whole variety of colours. Most retail outlets only have black in stock, but can order any of them. The 1560 for example comes in black, orange, silver, yellow, OD green, and desert tan. Scroll down a bit on the page and you can see what each case has.

The one that I went with, the 1610, only comes in black, OD green, and desert tan.

I have a 1610 that I bought used, and then bought the Pelican pick-and-pluck foam. It looks just about like a custom foam insert. All together $120.
It holds the Phantom w/o props, two sets of props, four batteries, remote with repeater, laptop for fpv, iPhone, and I have a space for an ITElite panel when I buy one.

Guys check this out! I Love Peli cases but when on location i hate carrying them!! Came accross this the other day ordered one and its just arrived and iv gotta say it brilliant! turns a hardcase into a backpack! Absolute Life saver when hiking or on rough ground where you cant drag one or you want to fly and move without leaving the pack behind!
