I have had 4 or 5 successful flights under autonomous flight mode with way points that were outside the range of the transmitter. Everything is working as documented. However, I have not been able to get the simulation mode to work. Is there a secret which I have not yet discovered?

Do you have the latest software installed in the aircraft?
That was a problem with some birds shipped around last Christmas.
Once you have it installed, and logon to the aircraft, you will get into the simulator mode.
Frustrated the hell out of me for sure. Once the software was installed, happy flying.

All of my flights so far are Simulation, I am scared as heck to try the real thing. I have had a hundred or more Sim flights.

Try this in this order.
1. Start with PC GS NOT running, important
2. Start PC GS
3. Connect
4. Hit keyboard CTRL key and right click somewhere on Google Earth map, you will see a "Simulate" box pop up, select it.

Don't assume anything or get fancy, try these steps in the order I mention. Let me know how it works out. I am assuming you don't know how to get into the Sim mode.

flight simulator mode will only work if you are connected to the aircraft.
Turn the bird on normally with the app running.
It should locate the bird.
Log on to the aircraft through settings.
If you can not logon, you are probably missing the software in the bird.

Just to clarify...I do not use the ipad version. I am using the PC version on my laptop computer.
