A friend of mine has an original Phantom which needed a new controller (don't ask!)

He bought one on ebay but has no idea how to pair the controller to the Phantom. I thought there was a small button inside that needed to be pushed, but he says he can't find it.

Does anyone have a link to pairing instructions for the original Phantom?

    Many thanks!

Depends upon how early a model it is. He should open the battery door and look inside for a tiny button.
In this picture http://i.imgur.com/mR8SeJK.jpg it should be around where the lower-right red circle is. If he sees that, he should:
    1) hook up the battery, but leave it out of the bay.
    2) with the controller off, press the button.
    3) turn on the controller. This should bind it.
If it's a really early model, the button is on the other side of the receiver, and you have to open the shell. The docs at DJI's website have instructions for this (http://www.dji.com/product/phantom/download)
    Or see http://wiki.dji.com/en/index.php/Phantom-Linking_the_Transmitter_and_Receiver.
Oh, if it's a really early model, it might not be compatible with the controller he bought. Did he get an SR6 or a DJ6? Does it match what he had before?
